Art on Paper 2018
HATHAWAY is pleased to announce our participation in Art on Paper in New York, NY, March 8-11, 2018. Our booth will feature photographic work by Sarah Hobbs, along with works on paper by Scott Ingram, Sam Stabler, and Tori Tinsley.
Sarah Hobbs (b. 1970) grew up in Columbus, Georgia and holds a BA in Art History and an MFA in Photography from the University of Georgia, Athens. She lives and works in Atlanta. Her work is included in the permanent collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, and the Sir Elton John Collection, among others. Hobbs’ work was featured in a solo exhibition at the Knoxville Museum of Art as well as the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art. Her work has been included in several group shows across the country. Her first monograph, Small Problems in Living, was published in 2012.
Scott Ingram (b. 1968) has been exhibiting for more than 20 years including gallery and museum exhibitions around the U.S. as well as Spain and Canada. He is a two time Hudgens Prize finalist and a Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia, 2014 Working Artist Prize winner. His work has been collected by numerous private and corporate collections, as well as the High Museum of Art and MOCA GA. Scott lives and produces his work in Atlanta, GA.
Samuel Stabler (b. 1984, Atlanta, Georgia) studied at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London, and the University of Georgia, Athens, in 2007. His work has been exhibited internationally in New York at Garis & Hahn, Dorfman Projects, Gallery 151, National Arts Club, and Christie’s; in London at Degree Art Gallery, The Conningsby Gallery, and The Window Gallery; Gallery 60Six, San Francisco; Subliminal Projects Gallery, Los Angeles; Tumuboko Gallery, Kobe, Japan; the Chinese Characters Gallery, Budapest; and The Coffee Shop Gallery, Brussels.
Tori Tinsley (b. 1980) received an BFA from the University of Michigan Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design, MAAT from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and MFA from Georgia State University. She is a 2017 Artadia Atlanta Finalist, 2016 Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant recipient, a 2016-17 Wathall Fellow, and a 2016 City of Atlanta Emerging Artist Award and Project Grant recipient. She is a founding member of Atlanta-based Day & Night Projects and Doppler Projects. Tinsley has exhibited nationally and internationally.
Art on Paper returns to downtown Manhattan's Pier 36 in March of 2018 with eighty-five galleries featuring top modern and contemporary paper-based art. Art on Paper's medium-driven focus lends itself to significant projects - unique moments that have set the fair apart and established an important destination for the arts in New York City.
